Ted Cantu On CHICAGO RIOT FEST: MOTHER !!! "Do You Like $12 Steak and Cheese?"
AH CHICAGO RIOT FEST 2014
Even rock and roll hooligans get hungry. Once you are roped in the big gates at Humboldt Park you are at the mercy of the concert promoters. And that means paying out huge prices on commonly decent food items. I admit... I shelled out money for a $12 steak and cheese during the Chicago Riot Fest concert in Sept. I was still hungry after I ate the thing. Then I got thirsty later and shelled out more dough on some decent beer.... this was $7 each. Rock and roll isn't exactly a cheap hobby.
From a marketing stand point this gets pretty interesting. Putting a fence around your customers and then giving them a series of options that they need. I guess the most important thing here is giving your customers EXACTLY what they need.... The food variety at Riot Fest is not for the health conscious. It is for the rock and roll crowd and that basically means deep fried everything, lots of BBQ items, burgers, big lamb gyros, kabobs, and even giant turkey legs, ( I actually found some giant turkey leg bones on the ground).
My marketing advice? Give your people plenty of everything.... lots of variety... and always leave them hungry for more !!

RE: Don Lapre Dead: An Incredible 10 Year Rise Comes To An End
If anyone would like to connect me with Lapres family I would be interested. I have written two books on Amazon.com and would welcome a project to put the record straight.

Don Lapre took his own life last Sunday, October 2 2011. Apple computer leader Steve Jobs died just a few days later of pancreatic cancer. This is an interesting turn of events. These were two giants in their own respective fields and the attitude toward the two of them could not be any different.
NPR, (National Public Radio) attributed a wide range of innovations to Jobs as it pertains to the Internet. Some of these innovations included things like podcasting, and social media and the entire scope of the web. These grandiose projects and merits are handed upon Jobs without any foundation of truth. The technologies owned by Google were purchased from 3rd party developers and were not the creation of Jobs. Yet, the media, and the public is handing him undue credit in this arena.
Don Lapre, on the other hand introduced the concept of marketing, getting customers, and making profits through a wide range of techniques. He sold courses that he wrote about how to land more business for yourself. I want to point out that he created a substantial amount of wealth through solid marketing ability, (to the tune of $52 million dollars during one of the worst recessions in American history). The public’s attitude toward capitalism is very poor and misguided. This guy is looked down upon for creating wealth. He is also being berated for showing others how to create profits for themselves.
In my mind this is a very warped and uneven reality.
It just shows you how out of touch the average American is when it comes to creating wealth, profits and/or stabilizing one self in such a horrible economy.
There is talk about America becoming a third world nation. It is being projected as such in major media circles. I ask you what are your ideas about money, money management, and making a decent living for yourself?
Who would ever think that these traits are not only despised but also looked down upon. In my mind, that is very Anti American in nature.

Traditional PR Meets Web 2.0
Ted Cantu Joins Forces With Lisa Lapides Sawicki and Revolutionizes Web 2.0
The recent months have been weird. Now that business owners are given full range to pursue their dreams I see so many of them get timid, run and hide, and get defensive. You now have full reign to do what ever you want and to approach as many people as you want WITHOUT POSTAGE. This is a phenomenal situation.
Listen to this amazing video podcast.....
Its powerful stuff.

The Profit Hustle
ROPE EM' IN
In the 70's Muhammed Ali had an effective strategy called, "The Rope-a-Dope" where he would lie on the ropes until his opponent would strike repeatedly tiring himself out. This way the boxer could conserve energy and then lunge back and knock the other guy skyward. For Ali this tactic worked and he made it famous. Today its considered somewhat of a boxing "sin".
The Rope Em In strategy is an effective one to pull online. You see just like ALI you never let your prospect get too far. In fact you want to keep them into the cyberworld that you created. This is a very powerful thing to do if you put in the right components.
I GOT SUCKERED
The other day I went to find some powerful coaching materials online. Little did I know that I was walking into a trap. You see this mentor had EVERYTHING I was looking for under one roof or so I imagined. But what he did was something very few of us do effectively.
Everytime I bought something I was taken to a thank you page. On that page was a link to something else I wanted that was related. This went on for about 8 pages deep. Lets just say that I purchased a lot more than I expected to. I could have found these pages on the web individually and if put in that situation I may not have purchased anything. But since I was on a theme and a mission I was in the "mood" to get more than I needed.
A lot of us could benefit financially from this type of thinking.
The ebooks that I recieved from this merchant was riddled with hyperlinks to products that were related. Needless to say I wanted them all.
So what this marketer did was effectively put an iron gate around me. Once I got in his ring he kept me roped in till I purchased more products. I was upsold at every turn. This could be a very effective thing for you to do. Keep in mind that you do not have to have everything contained in the same site. You can have your prospects bounce around from multiple sites.
More on this later.....

REBEL MARKETING - EXPLAINED
"WE'RE LIVE ON THE IKE ENGELBAUM SHOW - JUNE 07,07"
This episode is very subdued but don't let that fool ya. The information that we touch upon in this clip could flip your business upside down. We go into why the whole REBEL MARKETING concept is one you should be aware of and utilize. This is what great marketing is all about.
By using common everyday items like the IPOD and the new IPHONE we are able to tap into hidden niche markets. Now when you combine those elements with GOOD SOLID SEO strategies you have a winner on your hands. Now we can steer that campaign right into the hands of qualified buyers and people who want to fully utilize what you are selling!
This system is powerful because:
* We bypass broadcast media
* We don't pay for any airtime

This thing rocks.... Check us out....
