Ted Cantu Is Full Of Truth - Part 2

Take a good look at this video -- it got 15,000 hits and counting. It took pennies to make, no script, no actors, no special effects....

In fact, the product is its own special effect and it performs brilliantly in front of the camera. It was by chance that the presenter of this video was wearing a black shirt. He holds the dark hair color sample in front of his shirt and gives it a good swish and voila.... the color disappears.

Compared to my auto guys this video really did the job. When I looked at my automotive companies their videos were still getting zero views. How is this happening consistently? The answer is very simple....

The reason why is because you do not have to go for Hollywood type effects with your video on the web. In fact, it is much better if you don't. This is the kind of thing that really kills belief in your viewer. What people are looking for most on the web is realism and beleivability. That is the most important thing I can tell you.

Go for realism because realism sells.

coincidently, commercial television gets it and creates reality shows left and right. MTV has been doing this for a while to the point where it doesn't even show music anymore. People complaining to eachother on television sells. People trying to achieve a goal on television sells. This is a far cry from where television was a few years back in the 80's with over the top budgets like THE A TEAM, and TJ HOOKER....

Fat people sweating it out on the tube trying to lose weight -- thats whats hot. College kids complaining to each other in a house they cannot afford -- thats what sells.

Web video is the same way. Go for the realism......

Now try to explain this at your next middle management meeting.....

Buying Airtime Is An Expensive Alternative

There was a time when I had a radio show in Detroit. I had to get sponsors and it was a miserable experience. I had about ten listeners and it was the same ten people who would call me week after week. Before podcasting and web video it was the only way to get the message out about your business. That meant that you would have to shell out a fortune every week to get anyone to notice you.

Recently that has all changed. Youtube has gone through some major changes. You can now upload up to 15 minutes of video at a time. That video can be uploaded straight from your camera and you no longer have to worry about crunching it down. You can actually upload HD video up to 2GB at a time.

CHEAPER THAN BROADCASTING
The aethestics of web video work differently than television. First of all you do not have to apply Hollywood production values. Also you do not have to worry about hiring a script writer or using models. I have done both of those things at one time while producing web video.... It is not necessary.

In fact, the more homeade something looks the more viewers you are going to have. When you use the web you will not have to worry about buying any media airtime. This means you will not have to deal with broadcasting fees. You are using free bandwidth from the Youtube.com servers.

The only costs you have associated with video is producing the video yourself and doing any type of editing. Time, is the biggest cost of doing web video. in the days to come I think you will be better served if you use web media when it comes to promoting your company. Traditional media is always going to be expensive and time consuming.

Think about the kind of people who look at your tagged video content. These are people are in a sense pre-sold on what you can provide. This is a more attentive audience than radio or television.

Video Mini Sites With Muscle

What Do You Do With A Runaway Hit?

It used to take nothing short of a modern miracle to get any kind of exposure on Google. But now with a few smart tactics it is possible to get real recognition in little time. I am grateful for the multiple video search engines that are out there. The web has been getting more visual for months but lately this phenomenon has exploded.

Here is a sample of why I like web video....
http://www.1michigandentist.com

Thanks to web video you can now build a site that will get noticed. I like using web 2.0 video because it has multiple lifeforms. In short, I like web video because it lives on Iphones, Ipods, mobile devices, web sites, blogs and even in ebooks, (if you got the know how....). This can be a pretty powerful thing.

The other reason why I like web video is because it pre-sells my clients. I am usually up for not having to cold call people or do a hard sell in person. Pre-selling allows you to pretty much avoid the whole classic Tom Hopkins approach to selling. I noticed that even my closings are different from days of distant past.

Check out the mini site.

Its a good way to go.

Michigan Estate Planning Secrets - With Joseph Dadich - Part 1

"Whats So BIG About Web Video?"

When you look at these clips its amazing the kind of equipment that was used to produce them. This particular one didn't have any wires in the camera jacks. In fact, there was no place to put them because it was shot on the new Flip Cam.

It was produced, processed and posted in less than ten minutes.

This clip of Estate Planning Attorney, Joseph Dadich, was shot on a minutes notice. We edited it down for distribution for the online video networks. These were incredibly easy to produce.

Stay tuned for more information....

Setting Your World Stage - Who Are You OPTING IN?

When Entrepreneur Magazine published its historic Blog issue a year ago my colleagues barely blinked. It appeared that this whole concept of getting an instant following was a bit too lofty of a concept to really grab onto. But that did very little to disuade me. I was hooked.

The title read.... "Blogging For Dollars" and it literally had captured my imagination. This lead to a lot of companies fumbling around with this concept and many got it wrong. The many blogs that are out there do not take full advantage of the many tools that are out there. Worse they are not connected properly. The RSS feeds that are available are an enormous advantage over email. In fact, the whole thing is pretty inspiring.

WHO ARE YOU LETTING OPT IN?
Getting people to log onto your site is something of a challenge. Then waiting for them to OPT IN on your order form can be painstaikingly slow. The same thing works in the world of the Entrepreneur. You see a lot of them go for the hard sell in their blogs. This is a turn off.

The best way to get people to sign up for what your offering is to give away information. You can give away experience too. Write about things you have tried. Post testimonials. Remember that money is an energy. Its always moving. It loves speed. So you must offer value when you communicate about what you offer.

You will have much better response from the online world if you offer something for free. Think information and saving someone time. This is a huge concept for a lot of people due to the fact that everyone loves short cuts. Why do things the hard way?

BUILDING A BETTER PROFIT FUNNEL

Its easy to sell something to someone IF THEY WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. That is why working your online marketing campaign has to have a certain degree of you giving information away. This is the one thing that a lot of marketers forget to do. They want to instantly sell you something without giving you a reason why.

The same way works offline. This is why so many MLM marketers are such a turn off. They pound their values over your head and insist that you buy their products. This can really repel your prospects.

Here are just a few things you can do to get to know new prospects:

* Offer information

* Save them time
* Take away some of their pain
* Offer proof
* Offer testimonials
* Show them proven techniques
* Use Video and Audio to prove your point....

That last bullet is very important. Remember that people by nature hate to read. There is a statistic out there that basically states that people hate to read and they are more people who prefer an audio or video message. Take that and use it. Digital web video now is a very good way to get someones attention.

The best part about that is that these will pop up as web site rankings. They will actually appear on Google and Yahoo as page listings. They will also enhance your rankings.....
